Private Hospital Southport, Qld, Sold

Southport Private Hospital Sold

A private hospital in Southport has been sold by Wayne Devenport of Ray White Commercial Southport for $3,400,000 to an owner/occupier who will own and run the hospital.

Spendelove Private Hospital is a 22 bed sub-acute facility which was sold as both the property and going concern Business. The property is located within the Medical Precinct of the Southport CBD directly opposite Allamanda Hospital.

Mr Devenport said that the sale of Spendelove Hospital is indicative of purchasers seeking quality opportunities with the Southport CBD.

Ray White Commercial Southport’s national and locally focussed Expression of Interest campaign generated approximately 40 enquiries from a variety of sources. 12 formal inspections resulted in 5 written Expressions of Interest being received and the property sold a short time later for $3,400,000 inclusive of property and going concern business.

The hospital at 24 Spendelove Street, Southport was developed in the late 1990’s and provides care for post-operative and post-illness patients who have not recovered to the point where they can return home.
The three level hospital occupies a 969m²* site, has lift access and has a total floor area of 978m²*. The facility became an accredited Private Hospital, licensed to operate 24 rooms, in July 2001 and is widely regarded as a five star resort for patient care.
